Rit Team etched its story in Chamoli by impacting 2000 people and more than 800 people in Khet Gadera. The goal is to help all those who need to be empowered in Uttarakhand. 

Entrepreneurship programs for women were undertaken in agro-processing areas. Workshops on pickle-making, beeswax and turmeric production, honey packaging, embroidery work, and more have been conducted so far, and the products made are sold on the market. 

We train farmers in advanced methods like vermicomposting to boost yields and double their income. We are all vocal about local and directly sourcing all raw materials from local producers to strengthen the rural economy. We trained farmers for organic farming and cultivating high value sustainable crops. Also, we help farmers network with experts who give them access to the global market via export of the agri-produce.

Our CRCs aim to meet all the objectives of the New Education Policy. We provide visual learning tools, computer classes, set up local libraries, and extracurricular activities to improve the quality of education kids in rural areas are receiving and make it at par with schools in cities. 

At the core of all these three goals lies a commitment to SDGs set by the UN. As we upskill women to improve the life quality of farmers in Uttarakhand and provide top-tier education, we are bound to break the cycle of poverty and marginalization.
