After the hail storm hit UP in March 2023, thousands of farmers’ crops were destroyed. Rit’s team led the rescue operation, partnering with the local administration to deliver packed rations for a month to more than 850+ families affected.

The March 2023 hailstorm in Uttar Pradesh brought major devastation to more than 2000+ farming families, destroying crops across. For farmers, the disaster left them with very little to feed and survive upon.

In this moment of acute crisis, Rit made every possible effort to find and provide affected families with essential ration kits for a month. Our team conducted an extensive survey and helped more than 800+ families, working closely with local leaders.

Beyond immediate relief, Rit’s team also guided farmers towards long-term recovery by educating them about the benefits of selling produce amongst themselves, which can fetch higher prices. We also taught farmers climate-smart farming methods to mitigate future risks.

Rit’s compassion and hands-on approach brought both material aid and hope & dignity to victims.
