During June 2023, Cyclone Biparjoy caused infrastructure losses exceeding $124 million in Gujarat. Rit demonstrated deep empathy and unwavering commitment to victims and mobilized its local team and founder-led volunteers to support government evacuation efforts.
Partnering with state and central authorities, the Rit Team provided critical aid to the hardest-hit interior villages, such as Vayor, Jakhau, Ssodha, and Naliya. More than 600 shelter kits, tarpaulin sheets, sanitary pads, and essential supplies were arranged for families.
Rit’s intervention ensured direct relief for over 600 displaced families, offering temporary housing and safeguarding evacuees against further climate risks through rapid actions. Our swift and sensitive assistance brought not just material relief but also reassurance and hope.
