Northern India, especially Delhi, faced a flood scenario on 12/7/2023. Rit Rural Foundation helped in evacuation drives and arranged for essential supplies for evacuees, such as 8,000+ meals, ration, 500+ sanitary pads, medicines, and more.

Due to heavy rainfall on 12 July 2023, the River Yamuna breached the danger mark, creating a flood scenario in Delhi. Homes, schools, and residential colonies located in low-lying areas were to be immediately evacuated for life’s safety.

Rit Rural Foundation not only worked toward speedier evacuation but also conducted surveys on the reason for the flood and its impact. Rit’s disaster relief efforts combine emergency support with long-term recovery strategies.

Our team distributed over 8000 cooked meals, ration, sanitary pads (more than 500) and health checkups for the evacuees.

Rit Foundation focus was on restoring life, speeding recovery, and supporting affected communities.
